Cancer and Chemical Carcinogens

Chemical exposure has been related to the development of various types of cancer. It is possible that nearly all the chemicals undergoing metabolism while following their respective enzymatic pathways, develop differences in their kinetics and saturation levels. Few of these metabolic process lead to activation of electrophiles while many leading to its inactivation, thus exposure to any chemicals initiates competing metabolic pathways which may lead to certain mutation sometimes resulting to cancer
